Giuseppe Aldinio-Colbachini in the words of his niece Anna

The Hénokiens group was founded in 1981 when the CEO of Maison Brizard embarked on a search to find family businesses that had been active for at least 200 years in Europe and around the world. His insight led to the formation of the association, which today promotes and values the principles of family businesses in contrast to large multinationals.

Thanks to the initiative of Giovanni and Giuseppe Aldinio-Colbachini, in 1990, the “Stabilimento Colbachini” joined the elite league of the longest-running companies in the world.

Today, the association has 56 members, with France, Italy, and Japan representing the majority. From the beginning, the annual conferences have been an opportunity to share best practices and success stories, always emphasizing that innovation and expertise are essential to surpass the achievements of previous generations.

With this spirit, Anna Aldinio-Colbachini, daughter of Giovanni, decided to honor her uncle Giuseppe Aldinio-Colbachini. During the 2024 General Assembly, held in Nara, Japan, Anna paid tribute to an extraordinary journey, weaving together personal memories with entrepreneurial successes. "He wanted our family to be strong and united, but also happy and at peace", she said. And further: "he upheld the same family values in his professional life".

She highlighted how Giuseppe Aldinio-Colbachini managed to bridge past and present, transforming a bell foundry into a modern and diversified industrial group. Anna's words moved the audience, and we are confident that their echo will resonate in the hearts of all who read them.
